Chad Graves
Executive Pastor
Chad is our most recent addition to the Eastside Baptist pastoral team as our executive pastor. He spent his early years in North East Arkansas around Jonesboro. He began ministry in the eleventh grade as an assistant to his pastor and worked for his home church until he was in his 30s. During those years he led their college ministry at Arkansas State and preached as an evangelist. He graduated from ASU with a BFA and an education degree and then
continued his theological training with Liberty Baptist Seminary. In 2016 he completed his doctoral work at Texas Baptist Seminary in Henderson, Texas. Chad pastored for a decade in Monticello and helped pastor and plant a church in Batesville/Southside from 2017-2024. He also served as the White River Health Chaplain in Batesville.
Chad and Julie have two sons, Noah and Ethan, a granddaughter, Flora, and another granddaughter expected next year. Chad is a potter and loves to hike and explore. Recently, he has embraced the Ozarks and is learning to fish and hunt.
In this season of life Chad’s favorite passage of scripture is Proverbs 4:18: ”But the path of the righteous (those being made right) is like the dawning of the day, that shines brighter and brighter until [it reaches its full strength and glory in] the noon day.“ His desire is for every day to radiate with greater joy and clarity in Christ.
