1. What is your background and calling into minsitry?
I have seen the United States Air Force from the viewpoint of both the son of a fighter pilot and a Nuclear Missile Officer. In a military family, I grew up literally around the world and God used that awareness to call me and my wife to serve as foreign missionaries with the International Mission Board of the Southern Baptist convention for 16 years. Janice and I speak both Mandarin and Taiwanese Chinese and have served in Taiwan and Canada before returning to the states. I graduated from the University of Alabama and New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. Prior to coming to East Side, I served churches in Alabama, Georgia, North Dakota and Arkansas in a variety of positions, pastor, associate pastor, church planter and language pastor. Janice and I have been blessed with three sons Beau, Tory and Hunter. A beautiful Daughter-in-Law Val and two grandchildren Layla and Aly.
